Overbooked flight to Athens meant detour via Belgrade in Serbia. Plus side, the business class upgrade after a heated conversation with Etihad. 

                   

Drama after drama this trip has been so far, but the long way round had its bonuses. First and probably only ever upgrade to business class with unlimited menu, drinks and leg room :) heaven in the air.

Feeling on top of the world after arriving in Athens, we travelled to the Acropolis Select Hotel in the centre of Athina. Although not our finally Grecian destination, it was a pleasant stop over, amazing breakfast buffet, close to the stations and right behind the Acropolis. A huge A+ for all the staff there, super helpful and friendly; highly recommended.
