Reunions at the Trevi Fountain, wine at the Spanish Steps, meeting promotors on route to the clubs, being kicked off our dining table for staying and chatting too long and dancing the night away with high school pals :)
You really can find anyone in Rome. After a lengthy period of grooming and prep, we were on route to the Trevi Fountain very much behind schedule. Not to worry though, it was worth the wait to catch up with the gorgeous Liv and her travel buddy Judy.
Off to dinner at a popular restaurant close to the fountain. Pizza, pasta and of course wine was on the menu for this truly authentic Italian evening. After staying for two hours chatting away and catching up on all the travel gossip, expect to be kicked out. Italians just don't dine that long.
We then ventured to the Trevi for night time snaps :) it was on the to-do-list in the hopes of a less crowded scene, but they were all still bloody there!
Our last night in Rome was a crazy one. We thought we had a complete failure of a night as we awaited Ryan's arrival on the Spanish steps with our 2 bottles of red wine. No phones, no Internet, weird Italians and teen posies surrounding us; not what we had planned.
We set off in hopes of finding the alleged 'Rome clubs', hoping someone knew where the contiki groups party. Just around the corner, promoters for a club nearby, contiki groups are regulars, free entry for girls....too good to be true? We had learnt a thing or two already about club promotion and they will say anything to get you in. 100% honesty from this bunch though.
Our screaming arrival turned heads as we were attacked on the couches by Ryan and Fiona. Maggie innocently dancing the night away soon looked like she'd seen a ghost when she was brought over to us :) dancing and drinks and dancing and dancing followed. We partied hard with these party goers, shocked they still had anything in them after a full contiki tour. Much more dancing to continue back in Melbourne on our return :)
