Florence

Ah. the picturesque city of Florence. Spectacular views of the city scene from all the highest points. Definitely one I would consider studying in if Italians were my thing.

Orvieto

An ancient city perched a top the flat summit of a mountain, Orvieto is a hidden masterpiece.

Siena

Not too far out of Rome, and not too far from Florence is the quiet town of Siena. Famous for its 90 second Palio di Siena; a horse race around the city centre, Piazza del Campo.

Positano

Heaven by the ocean. You know somewhere is beautiful when you take a photo every 5 steps you take, Positano is no exception.

Pompeii

The volcano in Pompeii erupted over the city, killing everyone in sight and preserving everything so perfectly. Tragic yes, but amazing to see now. This city is like a step through time, literally.

Sorrento

Camping on the Amalfi coast was the best decision ever! Cheap plot cliff side to the gorgeous ocean blue, close to the shops, nightlife and transport down the coast. Win.

Budapest

The city of Budapest is stand still beauty. Frozen in ore of its amazing buildings, green grass and peaceful atmosphere, you feel at rest. One of my favourites so far.

The best music festival you will ever go to. Balaton Sound on lake Balaton just outside of Budapest, Hungary :)

Rome

Don't arrive in Rome on a Sunday. Nothing is open, and a perfectly nice neighbourhood can look like murderville with graffitied shutters and stray dogs roaming.

Kostos

In true 'sisterhood of the travelling pants' style, I expected to ride a donkey to my hotel room. Not quite the case in Santorini but the views are amazing.

4 days in Ios wasn't enough. Best party town ever, good cheap souvlaki's and amazing beaches, everything you want from an island getaway.

Late night arrival in Mykonos after a full day in Athens, we hit the pillow hard.

Athenian

Overbooked flight to Athens meant detour via Belgrade in Serbia. Plus side, the business class upgrade after a heated conversation with Etihad.

Dubai screams industrial boom! We are staying right in the heart of Deira. It seems the bricks were paved just yesterday; the sky scrapper buildings and tropical shaped resorts are popping up everywhere and the concrete doesn't have the dark circles of gum squished into it yet. It really is a new world.

Abu Dhabi do

Thank god for the Malaysian premium plaza lounge in KL.

Disastrous start to our trip. Note to self, do all travel bookings myself.

Super disappointing results from my travel agent; bags sent on to Abu Dhabi without us, access to the lounge restricted till check in and major confusion all around.

Happily embarking on a 7 hr flight to the United Arab Emirates soon :) Things are most definitely looking up. Flying with Etihad for the first time, taking full advantage of the free alcohol in hopes of knocking myself out at arrival of our hotel in Dubai.

Only 5 weeks and 6 days until I leave for Europe. 7 months of travelling, sight seeing, craziness and so much FASHION!

It might sound silly, but I am hoping to find my true self in Europe :)

I want to discover me. The me hidden under the 'boring workaholic' layer, the 'indecisive studier' layer and the 'desperate to be free' layer.

I know i'm in there somewhere.
